Massage & yoga private lessons, 2100 Fairway Drive, Rm 107

Yoga uses the tools of body, breath, and mind to relieve the physical and mental stresses of the day. No two students are alike. In class, I invite you to move into positions that can lead to greater strength and comfort, but routinely offer alternatives to the classic positions. Typical classes contain a broad range of students, from beginners to veterans, age 30 to 93 at this writing in April 2024. While students come for a variety of reasons, over time, "I can't do that" frequently is replaced by "I couldn't do that before!" Whatever your motivation for exploring yoga, I invite you to attend.

Generally, classes are Monday, Wednesday & Thursday at noon and Monday 10:30 a.m. Email or call to check this week's classes, or visit

for a current schedule of yoga classes taught by Carol Flaherty, Julie Kipfer, and Paola Feher.

Carol's Yoga and Massage Journeys

Yoga

I began teaching in 2002 and since have taught over 4,000 hours of classes, earning Yoga Alliance's designation E-RYT-500, which simply means "experienced - registered yoga teacher."

My yoga education began in 1998 with Paola Feher of Bozeman Center for the Healing Arts, and I continue to learn from her. I also have taken yoga intensives elsewhere, including at Duke University on yoga for seniors, with Elise Browning-Miller and Loren Fishman, MD relating to scoliosis, with Dr. Fishman regarding osteoporosis, and with other authorities, including TKV Desikachar. I have a personal interest in yoga breathing techniques to benefit people with asthma.

I am convinced that a combination of yoga and intentional breathing can reduce symptoms often attributed to aging and many other conditions.

Massage

I began doing massage in 2008 and have continued my education with Paola Feher, John Barnes in myofascial release, Sharron Wheeler for ScarWork and BoneWork, and multiple teachers of CranioSacral therapy. This combination of techniques lets me provide focused massage for your benefit.

In addition
In 2024, I completed work as a “fascia fitness trainer” with various teachers from the United States and Europe, which I did to keep myself aware of the latest research applying movement to health for clients, students (and myself).

          Be well,
